Raised beds after lifting onions

I have just lifted my onions and garlic from their raised beds. What would be the best way to deal with these beds now? Could they be used for another follow-on crop or would it be better if they were manured, covered and left until next year. Goretti, Tarbert, Co Kerry Posted: 13/07/2010

You could use this space for late sown crops of lettuce, radish, Chinese vegetables, rocket, spinach, chard, beetroot and white turnips.

Or sow a green manure crop to dig in in autumn, or cover up.

pak choi

I would like to know what family the vegatable Pak Choi belongs to, so as to plant in the right area? rosarii, Cork, Co Cork Posted: 19/03/2009

Pak choi is in the cabbage family.
