Trouble free bulbs

Could you please recommend flower bulbs that 1.grow in exposed site(wind problen) 2.have good flowering period 3.do not need to be lifted in winter Eithna, sligo, Co Sligo Posted: 28/09/2010

Most bulbs, except taller tulips and daffodils, camassia, tall iris and crown imperial, are fine in windy conditions, such as smaller daffodils, tulips, anemones, alliums, snowdrops, winter aconites, scillas and cyclamen. All of these have a good three weeks in flower and do not need to be lifted in winter.
