Lots of mushrooms on lawn

Lots of mushrooms on lawn

Any treatment to remove lots of mushrooms from a lawn. My understanding was they feed on dead wood etc and once that decomposes they will go, however I seem to be getting more and more each year. Digging out source not an option. There are at several different varieties all poisonous I expect. I put Lim capsules out last year but no effect on mushrooms. laddy, , Co Cork Posted: 01/10/2016

Lawn mushrooms appear for a short period in early autumn. They are part of the season really.

The mushrooms are the fruiting bodies of fungi that feed on organic material in the soil, and also in symbiotic relationship with trees.

There are no treatments.

If you do not like the look of them, the simplest thing to do is to brush them away or use the lawn mower.
