Cutting back perennials and lifting.

Here in Kildare my Dahlias and Rudbeckias are still flowering away abundantly. I'm just wondering when I should cut them down and take them undercover given how mild it has been this Autumn. DonFoley, Maynooth, Co Kildare Posted: 30/10/2016

Rudbeckia is hardy and the withered seed-heads are decorative.

Dahlias can be lifted to store under cover as Kildare is cold, or covered with soil or mulch to insulate them in the ground.
