Is crocosmia another pest?

Crocosmia has taken over my garden. Pulling up the bulbs seems to encourage it. Has it become another invasive species in the west of Ireland? What''s the best way to get rid of it? I use old carpets to smother weeds but would need acres of it to get rid of this pest. cecelia, milltown, Co Kerry Posted: 05/06/2017

Crocosmia can be invasive and difficult to control over a large area. Use two or three applications as necessary on a once-off basis. Covering is successful for small areas.
