Noddy!

Noddy!

My brother arrived tuesday evening to edge the long border .It was very windy and i felt sorry for him;( But he got it done and the difference it makes is amazing !

On another note ,i was watering my orchids this morning and sean asked me when was i going to plant them in the garden!!!

kitty kitty 12 May 2013 17:16:38

can i hire him out for weeding and edging too tina? lol

Jacinta Jacinta 12 May 2013 17:20:26

Very kind of your brother, Tina. It looks like he's lost in his own world.

Rachel Rachel 12 May 2013 17:33:53

Hahahahahahahahahaha :D

Send you're brother up here please!

Myrtle Myrtle 12 May 2013 17:49:13

andyf7 andyf7 12 May 2013 19:44:25

id say he is a good brother, because he has a good sister.

Scrubber Scrubber 12 May 2013 20:03:50

Aw Andy always the kindest word! Edging makes a huge difference though Tina doesnt it. I learned that n Bill's. (I believe gabriel is a great edger!) I always seem to have it on the long finger but tomorrow i am going to edge the rose border, recalim it from the daffs and forget me nots and then I shall have a pristine lawn again.

Jackie Jackie 12 May 2013 21:32:00

Why do some people have brothers like that??? Ive one and well........nope I wont say it lol......thats great Tina...he is so good.

TheH (Hazel) TheH (Hazel) 15 May 2013 14:53:26

Jackie Jackie 03 May 2013 20:39:21

I wish I could take cuttings like that and be so successful.

Lovely photos.

andyf7 andyf7 03 May 2013 22:09:22

they are so varied, but the flower looks weigela to me.

JoanG JoanG 03 May 2013 23:40:22

Don't know enough about weigela to say for sure Tina, but it's lovely and so are all the photos in your album.  The mulch sets off the plants beautifully.

TheH (Hazel) TheH (Hazel) 04 May 2013 22:58:50

It looks very like Weigela to me! I have a dark red one and a variegated one and have successfully slipped the variegated one - that reminds me - need to check if the red one has come back this year !

Got the last of the mulch down today, six cubic metres in total.I feel like i have been run over by a truck, but happy that its done

I planted some more on the banks.my  banks seem to devour plants!

I also did a bit of weeding and watered my persicaria

Scrubber Scrubber 01 May 2013 20:58:21

Your beds look fab now after been freshly mulched. I always give a big sigh of relief when this is done every year as it is such a big job but once done it leaves everything so much easier for the rest of the year Good for you.
