Help Jackie

03 October 2015 19:17:21

i did it again

i uploaded my photos  upside down. And I have a whiplash neck injury.

No Hazel didn't give me a belt of her rake. She may have felt like doing it but you know Hazel always the reserved calm person.

Dick Dick 03 October 2015 20:03:27

Have you practised Yoga, Joan?

Jacinta D Jacinta D 03 October 2015 21:16:53

Looks like you want to join Rooy Down Under!  LOL

TheH (Hazel) TheH (Hazel) 04 October 2015 00:19:31

Oh Joan! Are you all up-side down after a few days in the country? LOL

Jackie Jackie 04 October 2015 08:39:15

I've a crick in my neck trying to view the photos lol. But they are lovely

Do you use a camera or phone for the photos?  It seems the software of the site is not compatible with some phones and computers/cameras.

I use an iPhone 6 all the time when taking photos as the quality is fantastic and upload them to my computer via Microsoft Photo Gallery when importing them. Occasionally I've uploaded them straight from my phone but they do end up upside down. My photos automatically upload to my iPad via wifi throught the photostream app and  if I upload from the iPad they are always too. it really does depend on a few factors.

Not sure if that's any help?

123Joan 123Joan 04 October 2015 13:12:11

Hi Jackie

thanks for all your tips.

I actually used my iPad to take the photos and uploaded directly from there via photo gallery.

Hazel made the comment that it's possible I was holding the iPad upside down when I took the photos.

She was cracking the whip in the garden when I was there and tell you nothing but the truth I didn't know which end of me was up.

You know Hazel project manager.

I'll have to invite her to spend a few days in mine and repeat the experience. Then I'll crack the whip

123Joan 123Joan 04 October 2015 13:13:43

Hi Dick

I should take up yoga. I seem to have a flair for it

123Joan 123Joan 04 October 2015 13:17:09

Hi Jacinta

If Hazel asks you to pop down to Gortnalee don't. Tell her about your whiplash, delicate back, arthritis, panic attacks and make up any photos sic all reason why you should stay at home.

She's a slave driver.

123Joan 123Joan 04 October 2015 13:40:26

Hi Hazel

i'm upside down inside out and generally speaking totally in need of a makeover

123Joan 123Joan 04 October 2015 13:43:25

Hi Jackie

i think you're right if they're uploaded directly from phone or iPad they display upside down.

thanks Jackie

Jacinta D Jacinta D 04 October 2015 13:49:17

Ha ha I can just imagine, Joan. You're very welcome back here.

Recharging the Batteries

03 October 2015 19:08:23

i was in Gortnalee with Hazel for a couple of days and just returned home today.

Thank you Hazel for a very enjoyable break.

i was so embarrassed about my garden when I saw the amount of gardening Hazel did in her own. A labour of love but none the less a lot of hard work.

I returned with two scented rosEs some bulbs and several plants which Hazel kindly gave me with tips as to where would be the most suitable location to plant in my small garden.

I planted them as instructed stood back and admired my little bit of work.

I'm going to try and upload the photos I took of my afternoons enjoyable task.

Moya Moya 03 October 2015 19:56:40

That looks great Joan - I see you are suffering from the upside down photo bug!

Dick Dick 03 October 2015 19:59:46

Lovely photos, Joan. Did you stand on your head to take them? I haven't seen Hazel's garden but what I hear it must be great.

Jacinta D Jacinta D 03 October 2015 21:15:54

Looking great after your work, Joan. I'm getting used to turning the laptop upside down to view photos. LOL Hope you had a lovely break.

Joan have just filled in the friends application but perhaps after the song today you might wish to reconsider!!!!!!!

Jacinta D Jacinta D 12 January 2015 07:22:25

There's no doubt about it, but that Hazel woman did Trojan work getting this event together, and it all seemed effortless to her.

I'd love to know what plants you got, Joan.

Rear Garden Border

06 January 2015 11:34:02

hazel Jacinta and I had a lovely time in Sandhills House West Clare. Nuala recommended some amazing gardens to visit and we purchased some beautiful plants. On ou return I decided to plant them and create a nice border in the rear of the garden. Thank you Nuala for such a great time in beautiful Sandhills House

Elizabeth7 Elizabeth7 06 January 2015 13:04:38

That sounds like a lovely break , Clare is so beautiful and so are the plants.

Jacinta D Jacinta D 06 January 2015 13:18:45

It was a great break indeed, Joan. No shortage of wonderful places to visit either.

That's a nice little border. Love the photos. Had to turn the laptop upside down to get a proper look. LOL

123Joan 123Joan 06 January 2015 19:05:14

Ok smartie pants Jacinta can you suggest how to upload my photos without turning you into Meryll Steep in the film "Death Becomes Her"

regards Joan

Jacinta D Jacinta D 06 January 2015 19:08:54

Ha ha sorry, Joan. But I reckon Jackie here will be able to steer you in the right direction. She's a 'whizz'.

123Joan 123Joan 06 January 2015 19:12:08

Thank yourself Joan - ye were wonderful guests!!

123Joan 123Joan 06 January 2015 21:47:17

You were a wonderful host Nuala. Attention to detail in Sandhills House. Warm, comfortable, relaxing and so welcoming. Is it any wonder that Tripadvisor recommend such a wonderful place for holidays. My family are so looking forward to spending our holidays in Sandhills House in May. And the garden, what can I say 10 stars out of 10.

keep up the good work Nuala

regards Joan

Photos fixed at last!

Jacinta D Jacinta D 08 January 2015 07:27:55

Lovely, Joan. Hopefully we will see more from you now that you have mastered the photo end of things. Your borders look lovely. I adore the smell of bark chip.
