Hedging!

Lidl have Hegding today.

Blackthorn, Whitethorn, Red Leaf Rose, Carolina Rose & Burnet Rose.

Jen, word of warning. I wasn't impressed with the tiny beech hedging I bought two years ago. And I've had to replace every single bush since then.

A couple of months ago Gismo gave us the heads up on Bakker and how she won one of their 25E vouchers via their website.

I always enter this competition too........ BUT ........... never win.

Last night when I got home there was a letter from Bakker on the table, I didn't bother to open it as i thought it was only confirmation of an order I had placed.

I Opened it this a.m and to my total surpirse I won a Voucher too.

Hi Guys,

I'm thinking the Fragrant Hedge collection: Lilac, Mock Orange, Wild Rose, Honeysuckle and a Buddleja.. I have a Huge Shed wall to hide hopefully this will do the trick..

Gismo, I saw the Rose Mallow, looks fab, Let me know how you get on with it :0)

Recently I have done nothing in the garden, finding it very hard to get motivated these days ... AND THERE IS SO MUCH TO BE DONE!!

Today however I have a great excuse............myself and my sister (Anne-Marie) celebrate our 29th birthday :0). (Were getting old!)

Tomorrow I am planning a trip to Johnstown, I want to change the pots at the front of the house, the frost last week finished them off. I want to have a look at some trees for the back garden, it's very open and could do with some shelter.

Hopefully will get to upload some pic's tomorrow. Now.......... there is a bottle of wine with my name on it callin'..

happy birthday Jen. I find a bottle of wine helps make jobs look smaller and easier to tackle. I have two friends who I call upon when I am stuck in the garden, Arthur Guinness and Ron Bacardi.

Geranium

Geranium

I sowed some geranium seeds earlier in the summer.. only one has made it..

It is about to flower but it looks very dodgy..

The leaves have dark green spots that appear raised in the centre, the very edges of each leaf has a black coating on it and the few leaves that are left, are nearly see through.

Would anyone have any ideas what might be wrong..

I thought it might have been over watered by a certain someone, but apparently not!!

Perfect day off

Spent all day today in the garden, which was lovely have not been able to do that in ages.

Planted two Buddleja's either side of the gate, they have been hanging about waiting to be planted for ages.. I had planned on doing it yesaterday but the evening just got away on me..

Moved some roses from the circle in the front lawn, to the new rose bed (thank you trevor!!) at the side of the house. Can't wait to see it next year, when they are all in flower.

Tomorrow evening I hope to move some grasses and clear out most of the annuals in the front border, I've been putting this off for the past two weeks i just haven't had the heart..

I am green with envy, would love a day to potter around the garden and tidy up, have a few bits that need finishing. Hope the weather keeps up for you, happy gardening :O)
