This is the yellow Lily that grows out front. I bought them a few years back but then completely forgot their name, but after looking at Rachel's recent journal I now think mine may be 'Conca d'or' too.
oh lovely they look lovely with the purple flowers that surround them
Ha Michelle, I'm not keen on the combination myself, but thank you.
Conrad, just looking again at the pictures and google, your lily looks more like 'Conca D'Or' than mine!
Mine are real short. But it is their first year! And they don't have as pronounced a distiction between yellow and cream as yours do. I hope mine grow up to be as nice as yours!
PS I love the purple with the creamy yellow too.
Mine are about around four foot or so Rachel, and do look better this year with more blooms on each spike. I think the damp summer last year helped as where they are growing is normally very dry.I'm looking at it again but still remain to be entirely convinced that it works. Now purple and orange I do like, but I'm still unsure about yelllow and pink together, though there is a pink flush to the rear of the buds which maybe helps.
my favourite type.
really prety.
Thank you both. :o)
