Digger at work - nice pile of topsoil!

Digger at work - nice pile of topsoil!

Exciting day today - the mini-digger is here to dig the footings for Alan's studio. He'll also pile up all the soil from the veggie garden area and the pond so that we can lay black woven mulch before putting up the polytunnel and high-sided beds. Then the soil can go back in - not a moment too soon as the seed potatoes are chitting and the broad beans in pots germinating. At the mo it's a bit of a mess, but while Noel the digger-driver was having his break I noticed a robin and pied wagtail prospecting the pile for bugs, so it's good news for some!

Dear Terri, I missed your introduction so went back to the beginning. Warm welcome from Scrubber Dooley (dog) and Shoosh(cat). I am one year old (website age) and found that joining it was a really great boost to my garden and to my life! Most of the members are lovely people. of course there are one or two cranks like---- and ---- and ---- but I wont mention them in person as they would probably get me!

Jemo Jemo 10 March 2012 19:56:37

Scrubber, you are right we are composed of a cross section of society, thats what makes the world go around.... :-)
