Going out in the mornings for a look round before getting onto the PC and work is so exciting these days, there's something new in bloom every day. The new roses are putting on great growth, I'm blown away by the freeby sparaxis we got from Mr Middleton, the tulips arre great this year ( when did we plant all those colours?) and the work we have done in fertilising and improving the soil in the borders has really paid off, the growth is great.

We have been under some strain lately with family problems, and it's been such a comfort to spend even an hour doing some simple chore like a bit of weeding or pricking out or watering. Gardens are so blissfully uncomplicated! Even if I had a flat I'd have to have a little balcony and pots and window boxes, just for those moments when you need to escape outside your own circling worries.

I do think that our gardens are our sanctuaries when we need them most. Hope all is ok with you now. :)

Gardening helps slow your mind down and gives you a break from whatever is troubling you.

The clematis is covering your wall very well, gorgeous. The viola looks like one I grew many years ago called Viola 'Rebecca'. I hope it is as it was a very pretty one.

My Goodness your sparaxis is really early, mine are only up about 3 inch's. The clematis & viola are also very beautiful, Gentle hugs to you and enjoy all nature shows you in your garden

Yes, gardening is really therapeutic. I hope it continues to ease your stress. The Sparaxis are beautiful, I had some a few years ago but they seem to have died out.

Our gardens do lift our spirits especially now with all the wonderful new growth.  Three lovely photos from yours, Terri.  I have really taken to perennial violas and yours could be 'Rebecca' as Mary suggests or perhaps 'Columbine', another lovely one.  I hope your worries will be resolved soon.
