Bulb Query

I ordered Bulbs from Mr Middleton having picked them from the Garden Magazine last month. That was over 2 weeks ago ( 24 th Aug ) is this normal ? Iam not really impressed with delivery as other online services are 2-4 days !

I ordered bulbs about two week ago from Mr Middleton and have not got them either.

I ordered bulbs on 7th Aug and said I'd pick them up in the warehouse. Right up to last Thursday they didnt have my order filled. When I rang they said I could collect at their sale on Sat. When I got there they were so busy I had to wait until yesterday to go back over to collect them. Today when I finally opened those that i had ordered , 20 bulbs of Narcissus 'Garden Club of America'  there were only 10 in the packet!!! I was so annoyed. So I rang and I've now to go a THIRD time to get what was ordered over 5 weeks ago. I spent a fortune on Sat getting bulbs but to be honest I'm not sure I'll be doing that again. I'm really disappointed with their service snd I've ordered lots of times. Seems their Open Day on Sat really threw them. But not good enough.

Jackie, that is so disappointing when you go to the effort to give them time to have the order organised. I ordered bulbs from Avon bulbs and they are just as bad, getting them in dribs and drabs.

I'm generally patient and knew there was a bit of a wait but generally when you collect them it's only 2 days. Which is great. But having to go back is just so annoying too. Hope yours come soon!

Checked my current account this morning and noticed that the money is being debited today, so should have the bulbs soon.

Ah the trials of online shopping .... I am reminded of my mother ordering bulbs from Holland in the 1950's and 60's and waiting months to receive them but when they arrived they seemed to be always exactly what she ordered - but if a company are advertising a delivery time they should honour their promise - and the wrong quantity is really poor show!

But no matter what annoyance has been involved in getting your bulbs you know that when they burst through the ground in Spring you'll be like the cat that got the cream!
