Would anybody know the name of that plant? I saw it in France, and it was in bloom in July. It's a climber and looks fantastic against all stone houses. Thanks!
Very pretty, but sorry. Can't help.
Campsis radicans :-)
Bruno, you always get there first with the ones I know ;-))
Bruno you are good.
Thanks a lot Bruno! And btw I meant it looks fantastic on OLD stone houses :-) All of them also I guess... I've never seen it around here or even around where I'm from in France, I really like it.
I saw this eveywhere in France too and caught the name when I finally saw it in a garden centre. It is just gorgeous. Maybe I should have bought one but I was afeared of its lack of hardiness.
The place where I saw it is in the centre of France, south of Clermont-Ferrand, where they have really harsh winters, sometimes as cold as -20ºC according to what they told us, so I think it must be hardy because it was growing nearly wild on some houses. But I think it must also need heat and lots of sun, which may be the problem here. I was also very tempted to get one myself!
