Spring Back Again

It seemed after a few days of February, that we were facing the winter once more but the Spring has returned over the last week, no frost at night and temperatures 10 degrees and more. Yesterday was a really Spring day with 12 degees and a few more. The Snowdrops and Crocuses and even the Daffodils are looking good. Having Daffodils since La le Bride is great. These Daffs are growing in the area I call the Secret Garden. Beside same is a Yucca which I replanted from a  bed near the front door. It was blown down about a year ago(I think) and I replanted it leaving it to the Grace of God. It has really taken root and leaves have come out. I had hoped that I would have flowers in a number of Yuccas on account of the mild Winter but the frost in early February didn't help.

No sign of Spring here today, Dick. Mild yesterday but very cold and wet again today.

So glad that the cold windy weather has passed. Temperatures have risen the last two days here in Waterford, but cloudy.

Lovely day here in Cork today, very Soring-like and a great stretch in the evening.

Yes Dick, It was nice yesterday. Unfortunately I wasnt able to get out as had things to do. There are beeches waiting to be planted, snowdrops to be shifted and three new flower pots to be filled but when will I get round to it? Well done on saving that yucca!

Well it seems to be variable from place to place. Cork and Waterford, where the hurlers did well recently, had it good. One thing certain is that to morrow Friday, the temperature will be up. I hear from Met Eireann that it will be 13 or even 14 degrees. What do you think of that ad for the Weather forecast? It would suggest that we would go away from our gardens

Goreous yesterday but very cold and drizzly today. Hopefully it will pick up again real soon!

The Daffodils are so bright and cheerful, they really make this time of year. Grand weather here yesterday and today.

Daffs are my very favourite, I think. So happy and joyous after the grey of winter. Couldy in Clare today but warmer and nice and dry.

Yesterday, Friday, was not great here in Carlow. Temperature was about 11 degrees, still good for February.  I believe it was good around Dublin.
