Where do you keep them when they are so tiny Dick? Are they in the greenhouse? I think you mentioned that you have a frost-heater in your greenhouse.

No Hazel. I started them in January in the hot press and in about 3 days they were germinated. Then in the bedroom inside a windaw facing south. By now  (February) the true leaves are formed and then into trays to day.  Soon they will be standing up. By March, they will be transferred to the greenhouse and by late March, or earlier they should be ready to be potted on and some should be ready for the Country Market. The temperature can be fairly low at night for them during February, even though there is electric heating there. I have another packet, cherry type, which should sown this week.

Thanks Dick. I have mine in the utility room at the moment. I put a thermometer in there and its steady at 18 degrees! Light is the real problem.

When do you start feeding them? Sorry for all the questions but I always struggle with seedlings!

I wont feed them for a long time Hazel.  Wait until the fruits appear, then feed according to the instructiond given.

Mine are here in the sitting room on the window sill. Stove lighting each night . Spoilt they are . Half the tray is from home collected seed so thats a new experiment to see what if any fruit these will produce ?

Great to see the new seasons growth started Dick and you are definitely a whizz with those seeds. Look forward to see them in full growth soon!

The job is easy, Jackie, simply sow the seeds early
