my first harvest of sharpes express, i was happy enough, alittle bit small but nice all the same. i will have to sow alot more spuds for next year.

what happened jacinta
I thought I was lifting them too early. The foliage was all yellow and dying back. So I rooted down into the bag, and the seed potatoes were just gunk. Rotten. Got a few alright. But once I saw a couple of rotten ones, I just threw the lot out. But I have one more variety in the ground and they are looking great so far. These were a bag of spuds that had started to sprout in the kitchen. So I just threw them down into the ground. And hey presto. But the weekends winds has broken a lot of the stems, and now they are beginning to go slightly yellow. So, I don 't know.....
