Kitty - my friend used to order lots of plugs from Dobies and they used to come post free from England.  Then apparently Tesco took them over and now charge for postage but willing to deliver to Ireland.   I don't know if you google 'Dobies' whether it will still respond to that name.  Can ask my friend for more info if you want!

I've just googled Dobies and their site is on line, so it seems they've kept their name but apparently have been taken over by Tesco.  They used to give wonderful service and replace plugs if you weren't happy with them.  Dolores says now that they are not so good, but still worth ordering from.   You need to get in early with plug orders as they sell out quickly - will send out stuff at the appropiate time.  Hope this helps Kitty.

thank you sallysarah. didnt realise that they were doing it, as far as i know unwins are doing it, was reading up on it earlier. i will try out that site in a while. thank you hosta i am definately going to be busy. once i get the trays filled i will work from the kitchen table and watch tv, ideal heaven and alot cosier than outside.

aldi or lidl do them cheaper than woodies, they come in 3 high or 4 tiers high then i add more racks to it. they are around 20 euro with aldi or lidil cant remember what orice they are 24.99 in woodies.  they come with covers and i just take them out. thanks gerldine this is my favourite time of year
