there may be some hope

11 April 2011 23:16:35

i walked around the garden yesturday and checked on the photinia. i scratched the bark nearest the ground and i hit green so there may be hope yet for it.

while i was at the school garden this morning, we found three frogs under a budilea the kids caught one so that the teacher could take a photo, instead of doing gardening with the teacher they spent their time following the untill a shower of hailstones had us all running for shelter

great news, i had a check on mine also, i had 3 standard ones and I see shoots lower down on it. not sure what to do, cannot make my mind up if there is any growth on the top yet or not. will leave it another while to decide.

Long may that hope be there,Kitty.About a month ago i visited some friends gardens paying a Sunday visit, and could not leave without a look around them.In one garden i saw a row of Photins [Red Robin] almost 20 metres long. They were almost similar with weather damage, and when asked, should they dig them up and plant new ones there,i said oh no,they are still holding well.Where their is life their is hope. The same night i rang back about them to wish them well with them. They will be fine.

Good luck with all your garden plans.
