i need to get out and start marking out the new garden layout, no point diggin yet, it will need at least a week if not 2 to dry out before i can dig plus my spade needs a new handle, hubby broke it when he was moving the tree out to the front. i am really itching to get it started. cant believe that johnstown is just around the corner and seed sowing  will start soon.

i have been keeping containers like the mushroom trays and anything that will make a good seed tray for all my seed sowing, really into spending very little on seed trays and more on the important things that will bring the garden together like another tree or two and seating

Patience, my girl. Still a bit early for most seeds. I think a lot of us are probably going to be slower to sow seeds this year thinking that winter will pounce on us when we least expect it.

No Jacinta, Dick and I have both promised a mild winter. (We can feel it in our bones!) So hopefully there wont be a pounce. I know what Michelle means by cabin fever though. Its that ITCH to be OUT!

it will be the end of jan before i will sow alot of stuff. tis the itch to be out peter, i have this awful feelin we are in for an awful january hope i am wrong and you are right.

Oh more trees how exciting have you any you have your eye on.  I saw your journal re the birch; it's a fine tree you got (eventually; I'd murder him but maybe I've not got a sense of humour) do you know which birch it is? I've missed journals for about a week you may have already said?

hi anne it is the white stemed birch betula utilis var jacquemontii i have my eye on a red stemed one and a witch hazel (maybe). have to come up with a place for all this, a well thats the whole fun of it
