Hanging baskets in veg garden.

Hanging baskets in veg garden.

Where has the rain gone.At last the grass got its weekely cutting this evening.Gave the leaf mould heap a shake up.Watered lightly both it and the compost heaps.Gathered up any weeds spotted.Washed out the tunnell and greenhouse floors. Some feeding in the garden to be done tomorrow.

Delighted to see your nasturtium hanging basket. I think a hanging basket of just nasturtiums is to die for but so few people plant them for some reason.

hello John, hope all is well, used to use the nasturtium ourselves but got feed up with the outbreak of black fly!! anyway whats happening in the veg plot these days, how are your toms doing? bought a great book on seed saving, am putting it to use for the first time with that white radish i was telling you about.......

Nasturtiums are an old favourite here Rachel.[thanks].I have them everywhere, among some veg, greenhouse, tunnell etc. 1 for there beauty and 2 for a great attraction of some pests away from particular veg and 3 herb salad.I have not noticed to many in the area and dont know why.

Hi Dave, All is going well here thanks.I see you had a visit from black fly.The veg is great in most areas but with this inclement weather the tunnell has not enough air going through and that dreaded blight is just around the corner waiting to pay a visit. All thats needed is some more sun and less warm damp weather. The potatoes are doing well but,and i want to keep them that way so the tunnell gets washed most nights now.The tomatoes are starting to show small fruit in the greenhouse and app half of a metre high outside.Hope all goes well with the book on seed saving especially the radish.
