Heavy showers call back.

No rain for me.

No rain for me.

All kinds of showers fell through the day. Some light, some thundery, and some really heavey ones. Not a lot of evening work got done in the garden. The tunnell remained closed up and only used to avoid the showers, and give a quick check on any veg inside.Prepaired 1 of the veg beds outside for a mid August sowing of turnips.[Whenever allowed do so]

Thanks Gismo. Not to fond of the hatefull rain.He has a place in the greenhouse also and hates bad weather. If i could train him to attack slugs, snails etc then he would be made a kings seat in the garden.

Love the lab, John. My favourite dog. We grew up with loads of them. Good to see you planning for months ahead.

Father has one - an old dote. But no fool either - doesn't let strangers in.

The dog has the right idea.

the lab is gorgous, we have a black one and god help anyone that tries to come in. he comes into the tunnel with me and lies down and watches while i work, as soon as i mention garden or tunnel he is out the door like a shot. he spent this morning barking at the poor little birds, as if they would be crazy enough to come down from the eves or the high wall

Thank you ladies.Yes he is an old friend ,reliable, safe, especially among any young children in the house and garden.Minds them and lets the children beat him black and blue but never touches them.If any stranger even looks inside the gate he goes wild barking to protect them.Hail rain or snow he will always be near hand in the garden.Has the habit of barking at the birds, but a good friend to have around the house.
