How deep do the pots need to be to plant carrots in them, I think thats a great idea :O)

hi john definaltey show carrots, i put parsnips in containers so far so good, when my carrots were in the ground they looked so healthy, until we pulled them. i posted a picture in one of my journal entries of the wonky carrots, see what you think

Not me im afraid Monica.I ended up with more suds etc around the place.Things was not to bad at the end.No sun showed so i did not see all the marks i probably left behind.

Depending on the type used Gismo.Be they short-rooted,intermediate-rooted,or long rooted Some of the tubs are app .5 of a metre high here.So you can get whatever carrots suits the size you want from small up to whaterer suits,height wise..

I would not bet on it just yet Kitty.Can you send on some good weather to this part of the country. Doing well with the parsnips.The picture of the carrots look to me like a touch of fanging damage to them from either stoney groung,or adding manure shortly before planting.They are one of the root crops and sooner use ground from a previous crop.I could be wrong.
