Cold wont effect this small man.

This morning just after 8 am the greenhouse gave a reading of -1 and has since moved up to +2.Some sunshine pays a visit and parts of the garden beds are getting back to normal colour finally.I spent also,a quick hour in the garden shed to check on seeds for the vegetable garden now we are back on track.

I see your little helper is enjoying the sunshine. Even with the sun shining it is not a day for gardening; too much frost and frozen snow on the ground. this is forecast to last for the next three days or more. At least it is not snowing or raining. I prefer this type of bright dry weather. Roll on Springtime.

I prefer it bright and dry too but we got rain this morning.

Thaw setting in fast here John, lets hope that's the worst of it over for this year, you won't be long catching up with your plans.

Beautiful day here but temperature only reaching +2 in afternoon and rapidly dropping when I came home from town it had dropped to 0 again, clear sky and beautiful sunset so reckon it's going to be very cold again.

There seems to be a bit of a thaw around, but I live on a pretty shaded road and it is still so dangerous. Today drivers were doing 360o skids on my road and mounting the pavement. Anybody who was out walking were taking it really handy. Steve got stuck on his way into the driveway and had to get mats under the wheels to get the car moving again.

The footpaths are treacherous here after the slight thaw yesterday.   The roads which were gritted are fine but the non-gritted roads are dangerous.  There was a thaw today too but now freezing again so I don't expect much improvement.

Has picked up well here today Mairin, also with touches of sunshine. Not now though,it is back to - 1 in the last few minutes.Parts of the footpaths are very dangerous.
