Snowdrops

Snowdrops

Fraoch had photo of her snowdrop in close up so today I took this one of mine which is a single. I think if I was buying some I would try for the doubles. If any of you go to see the snowdrops in Altamont, turn up their heads for a look! I have put a new photo in the snowdrop album to show the marking on the outside of the flower.

Thats a fairly decent cluster of snowdrops in your albums, Myrtle. Another plant for my 'Must Have' list.

Myrtle - you'd be interested in Telegraph gardening pages.  There's a lovely article in there all about SNOWDROPS.  See my journal entered this morning.

Going by the Telegraph article (see my journal entry) snowdrops could be late this year.  No sign of mine coming through!  I have built up a nice little bed of them so hope I haven't lost them, as they are in a sheltered spot.  Lovely photo Myrtle

Flitters - snowdrops have appeared like out of the blue!!  They are in bud so I'm really happy.  Couldn't understand it as they are in a sheltered spot.  We have had alot of sunshine last few days so that probably helped!
