Dipladenia 'Sundaville Red'

Dipladenia 'Sundaville Red'

I kept this little beauty in a pot and used it as a 'dot' plant in the new pond border during the summer. It is a tender plant, but with a good deal of winter protection, it may survive. I have this in the house since the weather turned nasty. It has beautiful cerise coloured, trumpet-shaped flowers and is 'to die for'. It brings a bit of luxury to any border. I spent a bit of time watering houseplants yesterday and noticed lots of new growth on this. Also my Bougainvillea that I bought for half price is producing lots of growth.

OBVIOUSLY THIS IS NOT MY OWN PHOTO!

Not difficult to look after indoors for winter. The leaves on mine have only started to drop slowly since the beginning of December. But already it is producing more down low. Really looking forward to having this again next summer.

Nice warm colour on a freezing cold morning. Even the top of the hedge is white this morning. I think this will finish off some plants that where just holding on.

Hmmmm, just out there and there are a lot of plants just 'curled up' trying to keep the warmth in. You could be right, Myrtle.
