The little 'fecker'

The little 'fecker'

I have just been out wandering around the garden. Look what I found lurking in the pot with one of my hostas. Ugh! He's a 'gonner'.

Jacinta, are they slug pellets I see in the flower pot? Would they not be injurious to birds?

I have been on the hunt of these little 'feckers', using holly leaves, eggshells, and grit. This year i have used them all and recently introduced little pots of beer with an flower pot cut in half covering it, and its working a treat. I was told they are also partial to a drop of wine BUT theres never any left in the bottle!!! They sure love their beer!!!!

Dick, not the way I use them,. The slug pellets attract the slugs/snails and kill them. Then I dispose of the bodies so birds can't get at them. All's fair in love and war!!!!

Although the one above was hail and hearty. I squashed him underfoot.
