Progress at last!

Rain here since I got up this morning at 5.30. So I got a few bits done on the home front, hoping to get out afterwards. That didn't really happen though. The rain hasn't stopped all day. Not complaining though as it has been a long time since we had a good spell of rain. The quarry man arrived with the gravel. I was mistaken though. Steve only ordered 2 tonnes. When he dumped it out on the driveway I thought there was no way it was going to be enough. But your man assured me it would be plenty. And the boulders weren't boulders, thank God. Just nice big chunks of Quartz, to blend in with the gravel. 

Phase 2 begins tomorrow.

I'm getting a bit excited!!!

Quite a change to the front garden Jacinta.

So are you going to keep the planting to the edges or will they be creeping in and filling up the presently empty space?

Conrad, there will be a feature placed on top of the rocks. And a few random plants planted in the gravel. But not many. This is to be a 'low-maintenance' garden. A garden to enjoy in my retirement - a long way off still. :(

YES!!!!   This is a low-maintenance garden. I don't like spending too much time out the front. Too many neighbours stop to chat. Not that I mind the chat, but such little time to get stuck in to the back.
