Gorgeous in white!

Rachel Rachel 19 January 2012 22:57:26

At least yours is white.

There is too much confusion - 2 Clares, both in Bray, both with avatars of pink flowers and now both have Hippeastrum in flower at the same time :P

Clara Clara 19 January 2012 23:00:03

Rachel we both spell our name a different way and are you impressed with the photo of your cuttings .... what is the proper name of  that please.

Rachel Rachel 19 January 2012 23:00:59

Holy moly - look at your Tradescantia!!! And, do I see another Hippeastrum coming?

Rachel Rachel 19 January 2012 23:02:33

I know that, Clare. And meeting you both in person, there can be no confusion. You are the giddy one!

Clara Clara 19 January 2012 23:04:41

Yes it is a very slow one coming I have that since long before Christmas Tesco special €4.99 wish it would open as I hope it does what it says on the box. I love the Tradescantia thanks again for it .

Rachel Rachel 19 January 2012 23:07:25

You must have some nice memory tied up with that Tradescantia, Clare, that you rate it so highly. It is not really a remarkable plant but is very useful and tolerates serious neglect.

Clara Clara 19 January 2012 23:08:16

Rachel I dont call that giddy I call that a happy person :))

Rachel Rachel 19 January 2012 23:10:04

Not mutually exclusive :)

Clara Clara 19 January 2012 23:10:24

Rachel I had one for years and when we moved house 28 years ago left it with a neighbour as it was so big , but this is not going anywhere  I love it .

Rachel Rachel 19 January 2012 23:11:29

Ah, very good, Clare. The parent plant was my mothers so I love it too.

Joann Joann 19 January 2012 23:22:18

Thats lovely Clare, I have a red one but no where near flowering yet. That pretty pink orchid you gave me looks lovely too, I put it on the window at the kitchen sink so I can admire it all the time. After sitting for lunch with you at Johnstown I wouldnt describe you as giddy, just a woman who is fecking mad craic!

Rachel Rachel 19 January 2012 23:24:04

Lol

Whatever the colour, all Hippeastrums are the Queens of the indoor plants. Absolutely beautiful.

TinaJ TinaJ 20 January 2012 17:31:31
