Name please.

Name please.

I have this small tree or large shrub for about 12 years, pulled it out of a crack in a footpath beside the parent tree. It is now six foot, had a few flowers in the last few years, but it is covered in flower buds this year. It is a tiny flower and leaf.

I would love a name on it, if possible.

Fran say its a Leptospermum scoparium not sure about variety but would go with 'Chapmanii' see to compare:

Fran also took three softwood cuttings from your Cuphea and they've take brilliantly although th parent plant is looking a little 'floppy' at the minute, hope to take more cutting so i can have lots of these pretty plants..

Fran i am going up to watch the cricket match on thursday, did you ever hear of Clontarf and is it near you?

Jacinta Jacinta 13 June 2010 08:44:00

Martin, it is on the other side of the city completely. Be very carefull, there are some very strange people on that side of the city ;-))

Thanks Bill, great news on the Cuphea. I broke a small piece off two weeks ago, chanced it, it is doing fine. My main plants are a little shook also, flowers much smaller than normal, but they are trying.

Will have three sons with me with an average height of 6' 3'' and what with my beard we might frighten you lot in Clontarf as we march the streets in proud unison looking for the village green where Ireland is about to show the Australians how cricket should be played.

Hee hee Chilipepper is just as tall! He will be on the prowl, looking out for visiting thugs. :)
