Right of Passage

Looking good

Looking good

These ferns are my right of passage into the Fern Club.

The fact that they all came from the Secretary of the club is neither here nor there, they do need looking after and the secretary does not provide that service.

Doing my best to learn the correct names of plants. How do I get around these tongue twister of fern names?

Martin the tree ferns are the two plants in the front, looking good.

Ha ha I know what you mean. But just take each syllable separately, then you will get the hang of it. When you have it right, just keep on repeating it. Yes, Martin's ferns are indeed looking good.

Well done indeed Fran they are looking much better than mine which were in the greenhouse. Did you have heat in the shed in which you kept them, and thanks for showing me I get a real pleasure at seeing them :-)

fran m fran m 02 January 2011 20:33:14

Thanks Martin, really pleased with them all, bar one that I think is gone.

No heat in shed, it does have an Insuleted roof, and they are also inside a Lidl plastic greenhouse.

MartinB MartinB 02 January 2011 22:08:27

Fran I think that the one that you think is gone is winter dormant it should rise again in the spring. OK PAL

fran m fran m 02 January 2011 22:52:23

Martin, thanks for that, I was going to google it tomorrow. Will be doing that soon anyway, as I want to get info on them.
