Gracedieu a question, part II
Would it be a Japanese anemone I wonder?
Not a Japaese Anemone Allison. It was a piece of root that I found in a plant Paddy gave me. But it a unusual serrated root that looked as if it was put together in sections.
The first leaf of Aconitum/Monkshood, the ones that follow are slightly different ---- well they are here anyway.
I'm not sure, Fran, it could be an anemone of some sort - anemone nemerosa is peeping above ground now. Might be Cardamine - see recent exchanges with Elizabeth, photograph in recent album, pink flowers.
The "serrated root" has me puzzled. And you can't remember where in the garden it came from or what plant it was with - this would give a clue to what it is.
I think it will remain a puzzle for another little while. In the meantime, it is growing well and keeping you interested.
Paddy
Thanks Paddy. Sorry I can't be more helpful, time will tell ;-))
