Porridge and Strawberries
I have just finish a great breakfast of porridge and strawberries. So what you may ask? Well these are home grown berries and I just picked them this morning.
I am really pleased with my first crop of early Strawberries from my Prunus / Fragaria × ananassa cross. It has taken many years of research and development to get the tree to this stage.
The fruits are a good size, if just a little more bitter than the normal fruits from standard plants.
I believe as the tree matures the fruits sweeten, so only time will tell.
Well worth trying to find some space in you garden for this very rare specimen, if your lucky enough to come across it in a garden centre today.
Looks like it will be another good one, enjoy.
