Bill (Headgardener) gave me this plant two years ago, it came through last winter fine.

Plenty of seed pods forming, so I will have this plant into the future and lots of seed to share also, if anyone wants some.

A plant well worth finding space for in the garden, fantastic leaf.

(sorry not the best photo, at least the hedge is in focus)

Its a bit difficult to see the solanum, but the pods look interesting, as my garden is void of plants, and seeing as i am a cheeky chappie, i would be delighted to recieve any seeds that you might have spare, let me know and i will send my address to your e-mail.

Badger, no problem in giving you seeds. It will be a whie yet till they ripen fully. I have added pictures to the journal for you.

MaryJoe this one is not a climber, far from it ;-))

I have one of these courtesy of Bill also - I didn't realise it would flower! Looking forward to that! I have it in a pot at the Pergola so i think I'll take it in for the winter just in case ......

Fran it is lovely alright MaryJoe it is a shrub from Australiasia common name is Kangaroo Apple (not Paw) because of its fruit in Frans pic which comes after flowering like all Solanum family it is suseptable to blight so be warned. In mild areas it is perennial.  also grew a more finely leafed one I got seeds from Tina S. Linerifolium this year.

MaryJoe MaryJoe 26 July 2012 23:36:14

thought Kangaroo paw was called anigozanthus which I have grown many times but it never lasted more than a season or two?????
