Suffering from Jacintaitis Work Theory.

29 September 2009 23:07:58

Got home from work, still some daylight. Deadheaded some flowers, cleared some weeds from the gravel, and treated some of my yellowing Camelias to some Sequestered Iron Plant Tonic. And all before it got dark.

If you didn't know better, you would say that's an expert talking. Only heard about this Tonic last week from Jacinta's comments. See the way we learn through each others comments.

Thanks Jacinta.

That sounds like waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy to much w, www (oh what is it now) wwwooorrr something or other - ah work (ew I must wash my mouth out) and far too little planning and contemplation, and sipping of the black stuff to aid the thought process. It sounds like you actually got out there and did something. You do realise that your membership of the Gardeners Prevarication Club must now be at serious risk! Well done!!

I am honoured to be able to give ANY advice to members. I am just an ordinary gardener, Fran. And I started out years ago knowing absolutely NOTHING about gardens, except I LOVED them. And enthusiasm is the best way to learn, I reckon. I used to buy ALL gardening magazines, watch ALL gardening programmes, and spend ALL my money (Except for household responsibilities) on the garden. And if I learnt just ONE thing a day, I felt happy. I dont buy as many magazines these days as I have noticed over the years, that there is very little NEW STUFF from year to year. Probably just new photographs. And the odd NEW PLANT to look out for. But this site is an eye-opener. Long may it last!

Jacinta: you said 'and spend ALL my money (Except for household responsibilities) on the garden. '

In our house I don't give Stargazer 'housekeeping', it is 'plant money', and if some of it get spent on food - well that's good!!!!!
