I never got around to putting in the supports into the ground for this wonderful Clematis. It seems to be happy enough scrambling it's way through all the surrounding plants, I'm liking the effect all the same.

Yes Fran I like to see them scramble and allow a Piliu to go walkies across one bed. May free some others too!

Sometimes they look so much better just scrambling around doing their own thing. This is lovely too.

Gorgeous clematis, Fran, and I can vouch that Elizabeth's Piliu looks terrific scrambling across the border so am sure yours does too.

When I saw the title I thought Dublin had been invaded. Was he a Russian or a Polish officer? Absolutely gorgeous colour. salute to the general!

Always admire that clematis when you post photos of it. I have never seen it for sale.
