Roots

Seven days ago I received a package from Drumanagh with some slips of Willow. This is one of them, all this root in a week. The others are much futher behind but doing well. I never saw such growth on anything from just water alone.

I am planning on potting this one up soon, what do people think.

I would say you could pot it up and keep it damp as willow like it damp.

It's looking very ready for planting now, Fran. And as Myrtle says, they like dampness. Well done.

Pot 'em up Fran. I really like willows and they are so easy to grow. They will grow any whee that is not too dry, ordinary soil is fine but if you ave a boggy area, they are happy there too. Well done, w week is quick. Where did you have them?

I planted willow whips or cuttings back 3 years ago between the pond and the reed bed must put up a photo of them now.

If you are keeping them in water for another while, put a few shells into the container.  They stop the water going off.

Would love to see the willow now, thanks.

Mairin I tend to change the water, but that is a great tip, thanks.
