King and Queen Arrive

The King and Queen

The King and Queen

Spent the morning washing the floors and trying to get everything back ship shape. After lunch James asked me did I see the swans on the pond and there slip sliding about were a magnificent pair of swans, the pond is frozen solid again and they were sort of sliding and waddling across it managed to get some photos before the Three Musketers in the form of Connie, Brady and Socks decided that these big white birds were intruders. They set off across the grass barking and next thing they were up and away. It's been over a year since we had any swans here as they left before the freeze last January wonder will any arrive back if it ever stops freezing. Temperature here after lunch 1c around 5:30 it was 5c and it started to snow has been sleet and snow falling not much but temperature dropping again 4c when I came in at 8pm.

They probably would have stayed if the pond was'nt frozen soliid it really has been very cold here freezing temperatures. Johnny has been working to get water sorted here for the farmyard thought that he had found the problem has new lines into the sheds in the yard but we must have a leak somewhere on the farm as we are using too much water it's a real pain in the A-- trying to work out where all the pipe work is.
