End to a Near Perfect Day
Today was a near perfect day although the temperature was only 2c this morning but in the sun it felt warm. Didn't get to the garden until this afternoon and work continued in the south bed tidying up where the shrubs were removed yesterday evening, lots of leaves, membrane and now Feverfew's ornamental horseradish has been planted eventually. I'm hoping it will give great architectural foilage also planted in the verbascum that Keego gave me at the garden get together here in September, lifted up the Nerine bulbs they are now in the tunnel in a box of compost think they're going into pots so they can be be placed in the provide colour in the autumn there are lots of bulb offsets. Finished off in the tunnel at 5:40 pm after tidying up some of the terracotta pots also potted up Gentian saxosa that I had lifted this afternoon this little plant didn't seem to be doing that well and when I lifted them the roots seemed to be twined around each other in a ball when teased out there were three plants in each plant lifted so now there are three in each pot will wait and see will they bulk up given time.
