Get Off My Patch
Not a great day very wild and wet glad I made the decision to spend the day in the garden yesterday instead of sowing seeds. Today I made a start and cleaned down the propagator which had been out in the tunnel, had to move out the sweetpea they are still in the tunnel no sign of them yet put them under cover in an unheated propagator. The electric one is now on the shelf in the utility room with it's first seeds. Planted some Pheasant Berry seeds from Feverfew, from Clara Munstead Lavender, Duchess mixed Asters, Schizanthus or Angel Wings and finally Linda B's Snow Maiden Verbascum all are sown in seed module trays to hopefully save some of the potting on. Looks like the weather is to be rough for the next few days so housework and some planning will be on the cards. The other day I bought Gardens Illustrated which has good articles on iris, snowdrops, hellebores, plants that will cope with the cold as well as 100 favourite plants was well worth buying. Ducks out on the grass after lunch busy eating the slugs there are 5 drakes and 8 ducks there was quite a battle going on between 2 drakes think this will be a very common occurence for the next while.
