Kitchen Garden Ready To Go.

Kitchen Garden Ready To Go.

Must have been a case of the early bird catches the worm today at Lidl and I was late. Wanted to get some vegetable  plants to get a head start on having tasty veg straight from the garden arrived just after 10:00 and managed to only get a tray of calabrese and some strawberries so now I'll have to take a trip elsewhere. Picked the first of my rhubarb today yummy rhubarb crumble for lunch so off out now to plant up the strawberries in a pot before teaching again at 5pm.

I lucked out too at lidl, wanted to get a scented jasmine and all sold out, tried 2 different stores, but they both said that there was a huge run on all plants today.

Ended back in Lidl this afternoon as I needed more strawberries for my pot hadn't realised that I had lifted two pots different so was looking in total for four surprised they still had some and obviously had put out more veg so got some brussel sprouts. Lidl in Monaghan had lots of shrubs, fruit bushes and rhubarb plants it was the veg that was gone pity your so far away Rosburke. Eleven stawberry planted in the strawberry pot the other two have gone home with Caroline.

Got 2 rhubarb plants in Lidl today.   Should have got 1 strawberry because I discovered I had one failure in my first lot.   I suppose 1 in 30 is not bad.  To be sure of getting popular things in Lidl, you must be there at 8 oc
