This is clematis Josephine has been putting on quite a show, the flowers open first with dark petals then slowly the centres start to unfurl, gradually the petald die back and the centres fully open remind me of a pom pom. Posted up a journal on the 1st May when Josephine first started to open has to be the best performer for length of time in flower and survived the severe winds as she is tucked in the corner of the terrace climbing through japonica and the unflowering wisteria.
