Poppies blowing in the wind.

Oh so delicate

Oh so delicate

At last the first of the poppies have opened sown in the perenial seed mix earlier this year. They are so delicate nearly see through so don't expect they will be about for too long in this blustery changeable weather. Only plus is there are still loads to open yet. New photos up in Aug album including one of the clematis Comtesse de Bouchard in all her glory.

A white poppy - It is just beautiful!! Wouldn't you just want to wrap it up in cotton wool to protect it!! Had a look at your photos. The white "Iceberg"? rose is to die for!! Everything looking so good.

Gorgeous poppy, I'm envious as not having any luck with them this year, they have all turned black and died in bud :( love all your photos....

Thanks everyone glad you enjoyed the photos. These poppies were in a mix of seeds sowed earlier in the summer lots of poppies ready to open although in the heavy rain I hope they don't open just yet otherwise I'm sure they will turn to mush- petals almost see through.I have another springer called Grouse must post up a photo of him as well
