Day 2 on the Poly Tunnel

Hoops in place

Another day was spent by Johnny and James working on the polytunnel, the base has been stoned and the hoops are now in place so it is taking shape. There is a possibility that these hoops will be replaced with a slightly heavier one that we have on a reel. Saturday will hopefully see the timber frame for the doors and supporting the hoops be constructed by Ali and Johnny and if I can source the cover it'll be finished looking forward to having my little tunnel 9' X 18'.

The lads are making definite 'inroads' on the tunnel, Garaldine. Fair play to them. It's looking great.

That looks great and is coming along nicely good weather to continue over weekend so you should make good progress - I have began planting in my polytunnell for the first time very exciting!

Great to see the progress Geraldine! you wont know yourself when you get that tunnel up and running! you will have to start growing a few heirloom toms in there!!!!

Look great, the guys are flying, we got the covering for ours in a place called Highbank in Cuffs Grange in Kilkenny and its very tough , it dosen't need to have padding tape put on the frame to protect the plastic, they are on the net though they might have an outlet closer to you.
