Early July and hydranges are at their best. It has been such an early season that I wonder what will be flowering in August and September.  I noticed Agapanthus are starting into flower and believe it or not the first Anemone japonica 'Honorine Jobert' has one wide open white flower, a plant that should be flowering in late August.

I adore that particular section of your garden. The Hydrangeas are stunning.

Wow Mary thats a fabulous first photo. Great to have the space to grow Hydrangea. Not one of my favourites but I have a couple in the front garden. Yours look amazing

The Mopheads you gave me are doing ok, but I think where I planted them is too dry, so their on the 'to move' list.

I think it was Hydrangea 'Annabelle' that I gave you, Fran. You can cut that down to about seven/eight inches in the spring.

Thanks for the nice compliments everyone. Jackie, I find that people either like them or hate them. It reminds people of seaside towns when they were young and happy times.

Love that first photo.

The first photo is great, Mary. I notice you have the two colours among the Hydrangeas.  Is it the case that the pH of the soil is different?

Dick, I have acid soil, so most of them should be blue. I have bought named ones that were pink, but now seem to be turning to purple.
