Another wisteria
Its beautiful, so blue. ?
Fran, go get something from Chelsea. Imperative.
Martin, that is so gorgeous. Do you know the name of this variety?
It is Wisteria Lawrence. Well worth looking out for. It has really long see pods too!
Thank you Deborah! Another one to add to my wishlist so.........
Fran has better things to do with his money, Martin. And his tassles are longer than yours :)
Ahem.....
Fantastic such a vibrant blue.
Hahahahahahahahahaha!! TMI!
How old is this wisteria? Did you do any pruning sometimes? I am planning to get wisteria for my garden too, but afraid if it is going to grow very big... I have seen huge wisteria in Maynooth beside church... its probably 8 m hight! Blossoms were yellow. I would love to get with blue blossoms like yours... :) Its fantastic!
Your Wisteria is magnificent. Congratulations!
I am trying to sort out my ferns. They all look alike, so I will welcome your help.
That is an exceptionally elegant one.
Hi Violeta, I think that we put it in about 8 years ago. This wisteria behaves itself, the one in front of our house tries to take the roof of. Noel I would like to help with ferns, if you put a pic up I will do my best, though I cannot imagine how they can all look alike. I was walking along the road with Martin Rickard( a world authority and fern book author) last year and it was amazing how quickly he recognised them at a glance and how excited he was at variations of wild species while I was struggling to tell some of the species apart. I will put a couple up on the forum later this evening, ones that we found on an expedition to Kerry last year
stunning , I would love one . Does it take years to flower?
Hi Mary, it can do, and even if it flowers straight away it will not put on a good show for years. All I did for ours was to cut a small hole in the concrete path, excavate some stones and shove in some soil. :-)
