Fern quiz
Koidzumi's Wood Fern (Dryopteris koidzumiana);
That was quick, well the tree ferns will be on the way to you on tuesday. Well done, thought I would baffle you all, better shut up in future :-)
Speak English, Jacinta...............please.
I was lucky, Martin. I bought the same one at the St. Anne's Rose Festival 2 wks ago. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had a clue what it was. The foliage is VERY striking. "Oooooh, Tree Fern, come to Mama".
Hee hee I rushed out in the dark to whip the label out of the pot, so I could spell it correctly.
Funny that you should say that, as I made it a quiz because I did not want to go out into the dark to check the spelling on mine
Lovely colour of foilage. Did you have more than one of these before?
Martin, I was so excited to be in with a chance of winning a quiz. It NEVER happens. I would have gone to Timbuctoo to get that name. Because I recognized the picture as soon as it was posted. Wahoo!
I really need to get out more!!!
Jacinta you took me by surprise with that quick responce. Geraldine you are perhaps thinking of Dryopteris erythrosora, I have 20 of them
Martin I thought maybe the way you asked "why have I only one of these in the garden?" that perhaps someone had removed the others like your togs.
Oh Geraldine, don't start them off again. Please. :)
I think that you are right Geraldine, I did have more. FRANNNNNN!!!!!!!
Barney is in bed!
Did you notice a fern in those fernaling pots?
Absolutely! and there was a pair of togs flying at half mast on the supporting pole. I think he is trying to taunt you, Martin. :)
Half mast, the rogue
I suppose everything, that moves, dies, is mislaid, begged, borrowed and dare I say, stolen on this site, will be down to me from now on...............
Glad I can keep journals going without even joining in.
So you are saying you are 'GUILTY'.
No one else can take the flak Fran, thank God we have you.
Hee hee . Hiya Barn.
Aw these are lovely, I'm going to have to incorporate some ferns I think next year.
