Could you give us a close up of the flower?

I am so disappointed. I was expecting to see some gorgeous flower. I hope it is not a monocarpic bamboo.

Oh, No! That'll be the end of it then.

Mine looks severely burnt by the frost, as are a third of the plants in my garden.

I'd say it is a goner :(

Oh dear one of the few things you would prefer NOT to flower :(

Is it Fagesia Nitida I've lost two of those from flowering :-( shame but such is life I thought Monty Don said that some bamboo genetically mass flower simultaniously? it pretty amazing when you think of it.

Hi Martin let us know how this bamboo gets on.  Just saw on the Stambamboo site that flowering leads to death.
