There would never be a work done in the garden............

CathCronin CathCronin 21 February 2012 22:59:00

Haahaa...where's the Bar??

Moya Moya 21 February 2012 22:59:58

Very cost effective and eco friendly.

Dick Dick 21 February 2012 23:00:37

Look at what these poor people can teach us. What we might call rubbish, they can make something constructive from it.

Joann Joann 21 February 2012 23:06:10

tis all well and good  Martin but what happens when we get a summer like last year? Is that when the mud wrestling starts?????????

Scrubber Scrubber 21 February 2012 23:06:45

Dick Dick Dick dont you know the dangers of Pool? Smokey rooms, skipped school, shady habits!----no I do take your point though. And i bet the game is as intense as in the crucible. Thank you Martin for that lesson on intercultural awareness!

Rachel Rachel 21 February 2012 23:14:09

Where is it, Martin? Somewhere in the Sahel?

In towns in north Mali the buildings are made from this kind of dried mud so need to be redone each year. They don't get much rainfall though (which explains how it can be done at all). This also applies to the famous mosque in Timbucktu. Can you imagine having a mud building in Ireland???

Joann Joann 21 February 2012 23:22:04

Remember Martin you will need to wear your togs if you decide to go mud wrestling in it.................lucky you got them back!

Dick Dick 21 February 2012 23:29:55

No mud slinging:)

MartinB MartinB 21 February 2012 23:43:10

Thanks. I love people that make the most of what they have, which is very little in this case. I would love to have a mud wrestle with all of you but the togs that were returned seem to have shrunk or have some of the material stolen and what is left sewn cunningly back together. I will try to pose in it as soon as my camera arrives :-))

Rachel Rachel 21 February 2012 23:45:31

Wise words, Dick. As Deborah would say, you are wise beyond your years.

Martin. I am on completely and utterly on tenterhooks. When does this camera arrive?

J.D. J.D. 22 February 2012 06:42:16

:)

If Steve looks at that, he'll probably suggest building pool number 5 (oops, sorry, I meant pond)

Lìga Lìga 22 February 2012 09:18:25

:))So,when you going to start???:))

LindaB LindaB 22 February 2012 09:25:38

Love that one Mart

MartinB MartinB 22 February 2012 10:08:59

Hi all. My camera should have arrived weeks ago. One thinks that one is dealing with an Irish company but is probably some bed sit in Timbucktoo who order it from another place in Budapest.

TinaJ TinaJ 22 February 2012 12:21:51

MartinB MartinB 22 February 2012 13:56:40

Hi Tina. It does not need any special requirements, it just seems to get on with it, and never needs spraying :-)

Dick Dick 22 February 2012 14:03:15

I have seen some works of art produced by people from Africa. If they only had Fran's driftwood, what could they make?

TinaJ TinaJ 22 February 2012 15:21:16

Thanks martin

BrunoCork BrunoCork 22 February 2012 19:29:48

Love it Martin! Where there's a will there's a way.

fran m fran m 22 February 2012 21:06:21

Martin, this story of the camera, is beginning to sound like your fairytale about you togs............. just goes on and on and on and...........................

Dick Dick 22 February 2012 21:51:42

Martin, any connection between this notable camera and the shovel you had purchased over a year ago?
