Restless!!!!!!

Restless!!!!!!

Hello all, well i finally succumbed to temptation and made a start on this years seed! wont be going as crazy with the tomatoes as we did last year and have restricted ourselves to 16 varieties this year, we are trying 4 new varieties of toms this year, the other 12 are the best of the 40 varieties we trialed last year! we are trying 3 new types of chillies and 6 varieties in total! we are trying Aubergine for the first time this year also! the rest of the seeds planted were kale, cauliflower, cabbage, peas and beans, the first early spuds are well chitted and hope to get them in the ground in the next week along with the onions and carrot seeds! hope to order another 4 ton of soil next week to fill up the flower and fruit beds and get them planted up! will put up a list of tomato and chili seed varieties sown in another post....

Sounds like that lot will keep you almost as busy as last year. Best of luck with all.

Up and running you certainly will be kept busy but at least it's more managable than having to travel to the allotment last year. Will be nice to be able to go out and work without the hassle of getting there and if you have a few spare moments some little job can get done, good luck with all your sowing.

If you send me your address I will pop some cucumber 'Crystal Apple' seeds into the post for you.

Yummy tomatoes. It is time to sow though, don't you feel it in your waters?

Dick Dick 17 February 2011 16:45:47

I sowed my tomatoes on the first day of the year and quite a lot were putted up.

Rachel, have you been inspired to try any different toms this year?

fran m fran m 17 February 2011 18:39:18

Well done Dave, good luck.

The Digitalis you gave me last year via Jacinta are all doing really well, thanks again.

Rachel Rachel 17 February 2011 18:40:18

Well, I tried millions of yours last year, Dave. Remember all the plants you gave me?

chilipepper chilipepper 17 February 2011 18:48:18

That's good to hear Fran best of luck with it, beautiful when it flowers!

chilipepper chilipepper 17 February 2011 18:50:32

Rachel Rachel 17 February 2011 21:13:48

I think I will grow fewer types this year, Dave.

Keego Keego 17 February 2011 22:43:17

On the way Dave good selection

Good luck with the sowing. I am going to grow some toms this year from seed -- usually buy plants so would be interested to see the list of you are growing.
