Looks great. So what variety would you recommend for chilli novices - one thats not too hot to begin with? I like the sound of firecracker but its probably a bit too hot for the kids!

Hi Drumanagh, there are so many types its really a personal thing with chilies!! the red one in this photo i find mild, but that's not to say the next person would! check out a site called www.realseeds.co.uk or www.readytogrow.co.uk both sites have a good selection of chili seed and a good bit of info regarding their heat etc, hope this helps, and let me know how you get on............ 

Yea, Drumanagh, Dave has definitely persuaded ME to go for the chilis next year, and a whole lot more. Nicely done with the stringing up, Dave. Looks very professional.

Thanks for all the comments ladies, really very easy to grow and good croppers! if you like them and use them i would definetly recommend you grow them, check out those sites and find one that suits you, if your growing the Hungarian wax one next year Jacinta, would love to try one, maybe take a seedling off you when they germinate, will swap a lemon chili with you if you like? have not forgot about your spuds! where a bit advanced when we got home from hols so i planted them up!! will organise to drop the bag up to you one of these days! 

Yea Dave, I would be delighted to give you a few seedlings. Or even some of the seeds, if you wish. Cheers! I am very excited about growing the cucumber in the shape of an apple. Novel idea. And I love cucumbers.

Wow, I'd nearly grow them just to put them up in the kitchen, look great pity none of my family really like hot stuff.
